About the Project‍

CP General Contracting was commissioned for a duplex conversion in Belleville, Ontario. The project transformed a single-family home into two functional and modern residential units. This required comprehensive planning, expert execution, and compliance with all local building codes to ensure both units were safe, comfortable, and fully equipped.

Our scope of work included:

Kitchen Installation: Designing and building two modern kitchens with high-quality fixtures and efficient layouts.
Bathroom Installation: Creating two functional bathrooms with updated plumbing and durable finishes.
Permitting and Compliance: Managing all required permits and ensuring compliance with local bylaws and regulations.
Heating and Cooling Systems: Installing separate, energy-efficient HVAC systems for each unit to ensure optimal year-round climate control.
Electrical Upgrades: Installing separate electrical meters for individual unit billing and upgrading the electrical systems for safety and efficiency.
Plumbing Configuration: Updating and splitting plumbing systems to serve both units independently.
Structural Modifications: Making necessary adjustments to support the addition of new walls and layouts while maintaining the structural integrity of the building.
Insulation and Soundproofing: Enhancing privacy between units with appropriate soundproofing measures and energy-efficient insulation.
Finishing Carpentry: Adding final touches such as trim, cabinetry, and doors to complete the professional look.
